A: It's like having a job search advocacy team of your very own! It's Free! Many of our client companies prefer not to advertise or publicly recruit for their needs ensuring their hiring is kept confidential. Additionally, working with our "team based" recruiting group allows you exposure to top employers six times greater than you could receive with your own efforts.
Q: How much will I get paid for a temporary assignment?
A: All assignments are paid a wage commensurate with the skill required for the assignment versus your credentials. We pay shift differentials and overtime pay, bonus', mileage and expenses depending on the assignment's responsibilities.
Q: How long will my profile stay on file with your services?
A: We stay in touch with you. We will periodically call you or email you to get updated information if we haven’t been able to help you. Please respond to our emails or calls or we will assume your search is inactive.
Q: How long is the registration process?
A: Typically it takes about a half hour to an hour. Anticipate a relaxed discussion to review your parameters so that we may get to know you and catalog your career objective.
Q: What kind of companies can I expect to be referred to?
A: McIntosh Staffing Resources works with over 500 companies in the local area. We will review your career objectives and work on a compatible match ensuring your next career move will be rewarding. Should you be interested in specific companies to be exposed to don't hesitate to mention that to us.
Q: Once I send my resume, how soon will you call me?
A: Our recruiters reach out to individuals whose resumes have been submitted every day. Priority is given the those individuals that we feel are the best fit for a open job order as the urgency is greater. Once we have secured the placement we move onto contacting other submittals for a general informational interview.
Q: Does everyone who applies get a job through McIntosh Recruiting Group?
A: The simple answer is no. We are at the mercy of our client company to have a request for a particular skill set that you possess. However we get job orders every day of the week so its likely we will come up with something for you.
Q: What do I do if a company you referred me to offers me a job directly?
A: To ensure that you are compensated fairly and to avoid emotional decision making we like to be involved in that process to ensure you the most positive negotiation. It is to your advantage to contact our office before making any decisions.
Q: Can I express interest in alternative positions that weren’t originally presented to me?
A: Absolutely! The common goal is for you to find suitable employment. If you are interested in other opportunities with the hiring company that you are interviewing with; let your McIntosh Representative know and they will communicate your intentions to the hiring authority.
Q: Do I owe you a fee if you find me a job?
A: No: All services are paid for by the Employers.
Q: If I temp for a company, when can I go direct? Is there a waiting period?
A: McIntosh Recruiting Group does not obligate our client companies to a time commitment before they can hire you directly, however, often our clients have their own time tables for which to evaluate the match. We can give you an idea of each employer's protocol when we discuss the opening.
Q: Do I need to "check in" with my recruiter on a regular basis.
A: The answer is no. Your time is valuable and we work for you. We will reach out to you when we have a suitable opportunity.
Q: If I see a position open on your the website, should I respond to it?
A: There is no need to respond to the positions posted on the website. Once you are registered with our services your credentials will automatically be considered for compatibility with these positions however we aren't perfect (well almost), feel free to call us in case we overlooked your resume.
