Responsibilities:

• Transport and Delivery: Safely operate company truck to deliver food products to local customers, adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
• Unloading: Unloading products, ensuring proper handling and placement to maintain product quality. (Trucks are preloaded by third shift warehouse staff)
• Customer Interaction: Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring documentation is accurately recorded.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, report any mechanical issues, and ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck.
• Documentation: Accurately complete and submit delivery logs, invoices, and other required paperwork.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other team members to ensure efficient delivery operations.

Requirements:

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B, with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver
• Skills: Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 100lbs) and work in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns; basic understanding of DOT regulations.
